The vision of one day starting a young, vibrant Christian church in the city of TORONTO has been the topic of our conversation since we met in 2006. Following this vision from God, We left Australia in ’08 to serve Ps. Lorne & Kelly Tebbutt at C3 (Christian City Church) Calgary. Through this time we witnessed God do incredible things through the C3 Calgary young people and in the establishment of C3 Saskatoon. We believe that Toronto is a city for Christ and that the local church exists to connect people to relationship with Him. Quite often people describe the church/God as “boring & irrelevant”, no one else but the church is to blame for this. What if we could do church in a way that reflects God for who He is? Relevant, exciting, creative, bright, powerful, courageous, fun, friendly, loving & accepting… Man, that’s a church I would go to! A HOUSE FULL OF HIS PRESENCE AND HIS PEOPLE!
OUR CONVICTION WE BELIEVE THAT JESUS IS THE ONLY ANSWER OUR PURPOSE WE EXIST TO CONNECT PEOPLE TO GOD OUR MISSION IS TO LEAD PEOPLE TO FOLLOW JESUS AS LORD, MAKING DISCIPLES WHO ADVANCE HIS KINGDOM THROUGH THE LOCAL CHURCH. OUR VALUES EVERYTHING WE DO AT C3 TORONTO IS BASED ON THESE CORE VALUES AND THIS ORDER OF PRIORITY: We bring 1 Honor & Glory to God as we 2 Love & Serve people genuinely through 3 Building the church that reflects Heaven requiring us to 4 Believe God boldly & Steward His resource with Faith & Integrity
Our Kids Ministry
At C3 Kids we want every child from 6mths – 10 years to experience a morning full of worship, exploring what it means to have a relationship with Jesus, learning about God’s word and having a lot of fun doing it! C3 NURSERY For little ones age 6 months – 36 months C3 KIDS 3yrs old to Grade 5 Each C3 Kids Volunteer serving in this area has completed a thorough application, background check and training program. You can be confident that your child is well-cared for and having a great time learning about God while you worship. We use a secure check in system that gives your child a security number to which only you as the parent have the matching card to. You must have this card at the time of checkout for security purposes. You may check your child in as early as fifteen minutes prior to the service and up to 15 minutes once the service has begun.
Our Outreach: Love Toronto
As a community we are called “GO therefore”, lift our eyes & think beyond ourselves. Missions work is not just international need but right in our very own backyard. In 2013, we generously gave away 10% of everything that came in through our offerings. As we look forward in 2014 we are very excited about new initiatives we are partnering with, locally & globally. EXTREME MAKEOVER Catholic Children’s Aid Society offers practical help and support to families in the program. OUR PART C3 Toronto reached out in parental support to a Mom in need for Mother’s Day. We gathered a team, picked up furniture, purchased shopping gift cards, cleaned her house from top to bottom, performed basic maintenance and furnished the entire home. THE HUNGRY The Eating Well Ministries partner with the Local church and the surrounding community to provide help to Single moms, the Fatherless, Senior citizens & Struggling Families. OUR PART C3 Toronto used it’s creative talent to film the ministry while in operation, interviewing staff for the production of a ‘support us’ 5 min DVD as a tool that will continue to raise needed funds in the future. We also gave $850 during their busy holiday season. DISASTER RELIEF We recently supported the Philippines relief effort through World Vision donating a total of $2564. OUR PART C3 Toronto will continue to respond to disaster relief all around the world. CHURCH PLANTING Church Planting is one of the main pillars that make up our church. We believe the local church is an ordained gateway to the life and freedom found in Jesus. We as a young church community are devoted to providing moral and financial support to new church plants from all around the world. OUR PART C3 Toronto has supported church planters in New York, Calgary and two in the GTA. Even though we are fresh out of the gate, we decided from day one, it is more blessed to give than to receive. We have donated $2670 to church planters and we will continue to financially resource church planting. UGANDA Jobin & Francine have always had a heart for the sick and the poor of sub-Saharan Africa. In June 2014 they will take a one-way flight to Uganda to live “laid down for love” and minister to children who have been orphaned by war and disease. OUR PART C3 Toronto has already donated $800 to help with their mission and we are passionate to be a part of their work through monthly financial support. CLEAN WATER Cloth & Water is a clothing brand dedicated to designing and selling fashionable products in order to provide clean drinking water to people without proper access to it. OUR PART C3 Toronto has partnered with C&W in supporting their cause. As a church we donated $850 to buy a well so that one more remote village has access to clean drinkable water. We will continue to partner with C&W, having their presence at future events in order to increase their awareness and reach. CHRISTMAS 2013 Agin Court Community Services addresses a variety of issues including systemic poverty, hunger, housing, homelessness, unemployment, accessibility and social isolation. OUR PART C3 Toronto joined with a large variety of other community organizations by donating $1000 worth of backpacks filled with gear to support Toronto’s youth and impoverished families. TORONTO’S YOUTH Light Patrol is an outreach program of Youth Unlimited (YFC) that responds to the needs of Toronto’s homeless & street-involved youth. OUR PART C3 Toronto is hosting a summer BBQ and Thanksgiving Banquet for Light Patrol this year, providing an open invite to any youth who are living on Toronto’s streets. We will not only financially contributing to the mission, but we will be joining the mobile RV in “curb light” where we will hit the streets to spend time, pray & encourage community with youth who are homeless.
