Love this city

God has designed the church to be the answer to its surrounding community, and at C3, our heart is to stay connected with our communities in order to hear its felt needs, doing all that we can to help meet those needs. This is how LOVE THIS CITY was birthed. When we are the active hands and feet of Jesus in our cities, we build bridges that close the gap between the lost and the doors of our church, inviting more people to encounter Jesus.

As part of our mission to see our city encounter Jesus, we actively partner with, equip, and resource local organizations already engaged in significant work to bless our city and those within it who are in the most need. We invest a minimum of 10% of what comes into the House to give back to the community through our Love This City initiatives, so that we are not just a church in the city, but one with a heart for the city.

Over the past two years, Love This City has been building a meaningful partnership with St. Joseph’s Centre of Hope for Women, a pregnancy care centre supporting women navigating complex and often overwhelming situations.

What started as a simple renovation project to refresh their space has grown into something much deeper. Because of our commitment as a church to give 10% of everything that comes in back out through Love This City, we’ve been able to step into the life-changing work happening within those walls, supporting not just the space, but the people.

In 2025, we donated $10,000 to help meet practical needs and sustain the ongoing care the St. Joe's provides, its holistic support that reaches women emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Through this partnership, we developed and now facilitate the “Living in Colour” course. Living in Colour is a restorative, faith-based course designed to provide a safe space where women who have experienced abortion can experience true forgiveness and freedom.

Together, Love This City and St. Joe's are creating a safe space where women don't have to walk alone, and where lives are truly transformed by the healing power of God.

Residents are invited to an event that combines a delicious brunch, meaningful connection, and a thoughtfully curated shopping experience. Toast & Threads is a growing initiative that fosters hope, belonging, and dignity in every detail.

Toast & Threads

Toast & Threads is our unique take on a clothing drive—going beyond just a meal to create community and connection. Through a Shared Meal Experience, volunteers, residents, and shelter staff sit together, breaking down barriers and fostering a true sense of belonging. Our Personalized Clothing Selection pop-up allows residents to choose their own clothes, with personal shoppers assisting with sizing and selection—reinforcing dignity, autonomy, and care. Our next Toast & Threads is coming this June 27th—We're now taking donations of gently used clothing at all locations and registration to volunteer is now open.

Backpack Drive

A new school year should be full of excitement but for many families, the cost of supplies can be a heavy burden. Our Backpack Drive ensures students start the year with confidence, dignity, and hope. Purchase a kit and/or sign up to serve.

Toy Drive

Let's Plant Hope This Christmas! This year, loving our city is about more than just a single gift. It’s our chance to be a "sent church" (Luke 10) and plant "locatable places of hope" for folks who need it most. This is what it looks like to put our faith into action.
